I've had enough of statues that come to life when they're just giant armored warriors with halberds and shields five times my size. Despite being an optional boss, plenty of players prefer to fight it, as successfully beating the Watchdog can get you Runes and other such items as rewards. Found in multiple different locations, this ghastly beast can be quite a nightmare to defeat. Are there a Momma and Papa Watchdog out there somewhere? Cousins in the freaky-flying-statue family tree? I mean, there's tons of weird stuff, but most of it is weird in the way I expect from FromSoft: a caravan of undead soldiers led by giants, a monstrous blade beast locked in a dark room, a cave full of demihuman beastmen straight out of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
